Persuasive Writing

We have been spending the last few weeks looking at how to use persuasive words to write letters to support individual opinions. After exploring how to format a strong argument for particular audiences, the students explored how persuasion is used in advertising and decided to create an advertisement of their own.  
Next it was time to create a piece of sports equipment with technology for the future. The students had to decide what kind of improvements would interest people, and how to improve on equipment that already exists. I was very impressed with how realistic the new technology was and could see it being the next level of sports equipment for the future!
