What clothes did they wear? What music did they listen to? What games did they play?
These are just some of the questions the students asked when thinking about their grandparents, parents, and even MY childhood. To answer these many questions, we have decided to create a timeline to compare similarities and differences through the decades. The class started in the 1920s and are working up to the year 2010! I am enjoying listening to the conversations that are being sparked by their research and the interesting observations being made.

As a class, we have read many books about childhood experiences and about passing along stories through the generations. The students have been noticing many interesting changes that have occurred through history, but also many that have stayed the same!
Some of these stories have answered our questions about our grandparents childhood experiences, while other books have guided us to ask new questions. The students have also recognized that certain events had significant impacts on the past generations, such as landing on the moon, or the first colour television set. Great observations by everyone!
